Please explain how this anything other than an attempt to extort money from me in order to keep the programme I bought (twice) functional.

Now, with the continuing evolution of Mac OS, another programme update is required and, not only am I not offered an upgrade from the current version, I have to purchase 12 months of unwanted/unneeded 'support' for considerably more than I paid for the programme in the first place, just to have access to a version of the programme that works with the current Mac OS. My experience with MYOB: I bought AccountEdge no maintenace upgrades, bug fixes etc Australia introduced GST, so a significant programme update was required, and I had to purchase the programme again at full price, no upgrade was offered. after a few years the there is a significant programme update and you are offered an upgrade from the current version, at a price which is less than the current purchase price. With every other piece of software I own the system is something like this: you buy the programme your receive free maintenace upgrades, bug fixes etc. Perhaps you can explain where I have it wrong. I find MYOB's attitude to software upgrades unenlightened at best, money-grubbing at worst. I appreciate the reply, but it doesn't really help. This is due to the fact that AccountEdge Pro has purchases and as AccountEdge Basics doesn't have purchases it is unable to open that file. Hi indicated AccountEdge v11 is not supported on Yoesmite however you are more than welcome to install and test the software on that operating system. I do apologise for taking so long to reply to you as this 68yo is slowing up, a bit.

The sales information on V13.5 is available on this link AccountEdge Pro V13.5 for MAC Users suggest you read it then if you decide to upgrade then go to this link Upgrade Options and enter your product's existing serial number in tghe box provided at the bottom of that link You can retrieve your existing serial number by clicking Setup>Company Information.
I certainly would install it if I did'nt already have V13.5 installed as I don't need payroll tax tables etc or any additional features that V13.5 brings.

However, I do have a new sealed AccountEdge Retail pack unopened & unregistered in front of me it clearly states that the minimum MAC OS requirement is OS X 10.411 Yosemite OS X is 10.10 so accordingly it should work just as well as 10.411. Version 13.5 was released around June 2014 and was the Tax Compliance update for FYE June 2015Īs you would know Yosemite is a recent release of the MAC OS and it was a long time after the release of AE13.5 (June/July 2014) and as I'm new to MAC I'm not in a position to comment on V11.
